2013 Holi Festival of Colors

One funnest events I've ever had the opportunity to photograph was a Holi Festival of Colors. Thanks to good friend, Scott Jarvie, I, and handful of other photographers where given access to photograph the festival. The color dust made it quite challenging, protecting your gear and keeping your lens clean.

In India, Holi announces the beginning of spring and end of winter. People throw all their worries to the wind, bury their hatches and have great time singing, dancing and throwing colors on each other. Every nook and corner provides a colorful sight. Although people throw colors constantly, every two hours their is a huge color toss the engulfs everything is a cloud of color.

The best photo bomb I've ever captured!

If you look at the guy in the background you can see how those with equipment had to prepare!

Here's an amazing video made by Scott Jarvie during the event. This video does a great great job at capturing the excitement of the event.
